Contact form

If you use the contact form, the site processes the name, email address, and message you provide. The information is sent through Resend to Victor's email inbox so he can read and respond to it. The portfolio does not store contact submissions in its own database.

Ask AI

Messages entered in Ask AI, together with the recent conversation history, are sent to OpenAI to generate a response. When you leave the chat, the conversation transcript is sent through Resend to Victor's email inbox. Do not include confidential, sensitive, or unnecessary personal information in a chat.

The AI feature provides general information about Victor's published professional background. It does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.

Analytics and performance

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated traffic information and Vercel Speed Insights for web-performance measurements. Depending on the feature and plan, this can include visited pages, referrers, approximate country, browser, device type, operating system, performance measurements, and limited interaction events. Contact-form content, email addresses, and chat text are not included in analytics events.

Vercel states that Web Analytics and Speed Insights do not associate analytics data with an individual or store an IP address as part of those analytics records.

Technical operation and abuse prevention

Vercel hosts the site and may process ordinary request and security information needed to deliver and protect it. The contact and AI endpoints temporarily use the requesting IP address in server memory for rate limiting. The portfolio does not place that address in its own persistent database.

Cookies and local storage

The portfolio does not use advertising cookies. Your browser may store a local theme preference so that the selected light or dark appearance can be restored on later visits.

Purposes and legal bases

The information described above is processed to:

• respond to messages you choose to send;
• provide the Ask AI feature you request;
• operate, secure, and prevent abuse of the site; and
• understand aggregate use and improve performance.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving this personal professional website and responding to communications, together with taking steps you request when you use the contact or AI features.

Service providers and international processing

The site relies on these service providers:

• Vercel for hosting, analytics, performance measurement, and operational security;
• OpenAI for generating Ask AI responses; and
• Resend for delivering contact messages and AI transcripts by email.

These providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Their terms and data-protection arrangements describe the safeguards they use for international transfers.

Retention

Contact messages and AI transcripts received by email are kept only while reasonably needed to review the communication, respond where appropriate, maintain relevant correspondence, or address abuse and legal obligations. You may request earlier deletion. Service providers may retain operational records according to their own documented terms.

Your rights

Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal information, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
